JCHOptimize, VirtueMart, and External Javascript Issues

Hi,

I am wrapping up a site, so it's performance time and I've got a few issues!

Specs:
Joomla 2.5.9
VirtueMart 2.0.22a
BTRestaurant template from www.bowthemes.com
www.tikibargebmore.com

I've turned off the jQuery loading by all modules except Virtuemart.  I did this to hopefully avoid jQuery conflicts.

I have turned on JCHOptimize with "Exclude all extensions" checked yes and the other default setttings.

My page score on tools.pingdom.com is 79 and the load takes 4-5 seconds, with the primary culprits being:

-  Combine external Javascript
-  Leverage browser caching

I want to focus on the Javascript part, but hints on the leveraging are appreciated.

My main issue:

What would be the best tactic to combine the external javascript?  This is by far the worst thing going on. If I change "Exclude all extensions" to "no" it breaks several of the modules including the front page background image module and Virtuemart's ability to use the custom field to add the full season option or even worse, add to cart!

Lastly, I noticed from the waterfall tab on tools.pingdom.com report that the 2 jscss.php downloads for JCHOptimize actually both take relatively a little bit to load and are kinda large files.  Is that normal?

I'd really like to get this page load below 2 seconds, so any advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kory

I advise you to try another more promising js booster solution cos JCH isn't support virtuemart perfect  -
their support threads about VM are looking sadly http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/jch-optimize/search?q=virtuemart

Currently one one.

Start to test whatever you could grab on extensions.joomla.org

If you'll met issues feel free to report about them on this forum.

We'll help.
