Hello,

I am unable to edit my products or category from the back end. When I go in to joomla debug sys and lang, I am able to make changes, but then that causes a slew of problems in my vm front end. I use vm 2.0.20b and joomla 2.5, I've updated my tables in vm tools, and no help there. I also disable azrul mambot, and there was difference at all. Even when I tried to upload my Categories via csvi pro, they showed on my sql table, but not in Virtuemart. So I was forced to enter all the categories while in joomla debug mode. Please me.
I do not have google jquery or vm jquery turned on. Also this is a single language site, en_Gb. In chrome's console, I get this:

QuoteUncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'vm2admin' index.php:315
(anonymous function) index.php:315
l jquery.min.js:2
c.fireWith jquery.min.js:2
v.extend.ready jquery.min.js:2
Resource interpreted as Image but transferred with MIME type text/html: "http://www.xxx.com/test2/".

Now I'm noticing that I can't even add products to cart also. When I click on add a product, it takes me back to the homepage, and nothing gets added to the cart, nor does the popup show up.
I have tried disabling popup cart, vm query and all sorts, but nothing works.
I've also found that it's not allowing me to sync with webgiligty's ecc properly
I've also tried to get the jqueryEasy plugin, but it's the second try now and I have not received registration confirmation email to download the file. And the web contact us person has not responded.

Any help will be appreciated.

url is: xxx.com /test2/

In add new product I get

Timestamp: 5/27/13 3:35:38 PM
Error: TypeError: jQuery(...).chosen is not a function

Well I looked at http://iyaoloja.com/test2/shop/store-frontpage  - VirtueMart won't work there as you do not seem to be loading any of the VM css or JavaScript files.

You should first test a VirtueMart installation using the Beez20 template without any extra plugins etc. Then if you switch templates and it does not work you start to test what is wrong with that template. Usually, but not always, it is a js problem.

thanks too the easiest route open for me. Recreated the whole site. And will definitely be more backup conscious. Good thing I haven't populated it with tedious info yet. Many thanks.

sigh. back to the same problem. was very careful about installing only components absolutely needed. Last thing I installed was Affiliate for VM. Luckily, I backed up before installing. Will revert to backed up file and see if this problem was there before the installation. Weirdly, I only get this problem in VM Product and Product Category add/edit section.

Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'chosen' index.php:2284
(anonymous function) index.php:2284

ha! it was simple image pro that caused it. hahaha! prolly the same thing that caused my last headache. Thank God I finally spotted it.

Good! Building a site bit by bit with regular backups is really the best way to work.

As i had the same problem, i started to look into this and trying to find out why this fails.

After alot of debugging on this issue, the problem is actually chosen runs only on jquery 1.6.4 default.

I had jquery easy installed and was running jquery 1.8 in front and backend.
When i disabled jquery easy in backend i didn't have this problem anymore.

This leads me to belive that there is something wird in the way the plugin i used, cause from what i can see on their page, it should work with any version of jquery over 1.4
