weird characters on add to cart modal popup

Hi,

Using a latin language (portuguese) with accents, the add to cart modal popup shows weird characters. How can I change this to show the words with accents correctly?

is the portuguese translation files saved as UTF-8 no Bom? If not try that.

If switching to default beez template solves it it could be a template issue, maybe they didnt add compatibility with those latin characters so ask your template provider.
