If you see items like COM_VIRTUEMART_VENDOR_VIEW_CONTACT_TITLE  then it suggests that the language files are not correctly installed. Did you successfully install both VM components, com_virtuemart.2.0.20b.tar.gz and com_virtuemart.2.0.20b_ext_aio.tar.gz ?
