Show/update to child product description on front-end

Is there a built-in way to automatically show child product description when dropdown custom fields are selected in the front-end?

Did you find a way to do it ?
I'm using joomla 2.5 and virtuemart 2.0.24 and when i select the child product in only udpate the price

What do you mean by free web hosting ?

So when I click on a child product it update the price but not the picture neither the description

Since I updated to virtuemart 2.0.24 even the price does not update :/

But the price show correctly in the cart. It must come from the productdetail page but I did not modify it.
