Hello, I am trying to configure a VM2 cart to be able to say basically that an item is only for in store pick-up.  Unfortunately I cant seem to find a way to limit shipping based off of a product.  I found that I can change shipment options based on user type, but there seems no way to do this based on the product.  I am wondering if I am just missing something or if anyone has a suggestion  on how I could do it.  Plug in or something.  I am using the UPS for basically all products excepting a few witch need to be In Store Pickup only.  All other products can have both options.

My VM ver # 2.0.20b
My J! ver # 2.5.7

Forgive my naivite as I am rather new to VM2.

I think the best way would be to make the weight of the in-store items only 0.001, and then set up a shipping method called "In Store Pickup" that will kick in for items with that weight. Items that are to be shipped have weight greater than that, I assume.

Biggest challenge will be mixed purchases of shipped and pickup items. Not sure how confusing the shipping part of the checkout may be for your customers without some customization.

Basically I think you should use a store pickup extension which will help you solve the problem of distinguishing the in-store pickup products and other types of products.
Eventually it will save you more time and efforts. I only see one and only store pickup extension available in the Virtuemart marketplace now. Why don't give it a try. It seems to have everything you need :D Here is the link: https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/store-pickup-for-virtuemart/
