2.0.14->16: Add to cart buttons OUT

Hi friends,

My Vm 2.0.14 was working well, on product details page, the "add to cart" buttons shown.
But after upgrade the site to VM 2.0.16, those buttons are out; now I can see just the "Ask a question" button

What am I doing wrong

I also updated from x.14 to x.16 and it works.

So did you install both packages? Please also clean your cache

If the prices is <=0.0 and you have "ask for price" in the config activated, then you see this. Maybe it is a layout overwrite, please check and if there is one, tell here, so that I can add it to the "latest release notes"

I also upgraded from 2.0.14 to 2.0.16 and got exactly the same situation as MobileMeWs.

However, I did a restore immediately, so I cannot confirm if the advices above helps or not.

Hi mobilemews,

Have you also upgrade com_virtuemart_aio_2.016?

If no please ,make disable to all plugin and module of virtuemart . install com_virtuemart_aio 2.0.16.

After that enable virtuemart product plugin by joomla plugin manager.

Updated 2.0.14 to 2.0.16, also the aio, and cleaned cache

Add to cart button only gone on the page where I use special fields as a shopcart variant

Maybe this is related to the "multiple" price fields in backend that we r discussing here.

Having the same problem as deepdeepsea.
After the update my products didnt have any prices, show I opened a product in backend and saw that "Product Pricing" fields have been quatraplicated, I deleted them so price was shown again in frontend but after a refresh prices was lost once more.
Re-opened product in backend and I saw that "Product Pricing" has been multiplied by 5....

Open one of your products and see if they have more than one "Product Pricing" records, delete everything but the one that has the price, save and refresh your page.

ceez cadeaubon has only one productprice = € 0,00 It has two special fields, shopcart variants. One is the price the other is for text. In 2.014 it worked fine.

Indeed the productprice (€0,00) on ceez cadeaubon was duplicated about 6/8 times (I am not sure how often). I already deleted those. Only one left now. But this was not the solution. Still no order button?

All products with a generic child variant and all single products are updated oke!

It is a product with a 0.0 price and you add the price via variant? What happens if you use the 2.0.16c? Be aware, you can remove a price, or set a price to 0.0 (is overwriting parent).
Maybe you must just use 0.001 ?

I tried the simple solution first to give the parent a 0.0001 instead of 0.0 and that worked for me, thank you thank you! Jimmie

I also had duplicate product price records after update to 2.0.16. But I am not able to delete the additional ones; they keep being recreated when I save the product.
I have a backup of 2.0.14; is there anything I can do BEFORE upgrade to avoid incurring in this issue?

Reply to myself: I fixed the issue by manually updating the #__virtuemart_product_prices table. I set virtuemart_shoppergroup_id = 0 for all records (since I have have only one price for my products). This worked for me.

Please anyone, if you intend to follow this suggestion do a backup first and test it on a copy of your site.
