MobiCart will turn your VirtueMart e-commerce store into an m-commerce app. MobiCart supports native iPhone, iPad and Android apps, as well as HTML5 web apps.

MobiCart is a simple way to build and manage your m-commerce store as a native or web app. MobiCart works on its own, or links up to your existing website.

MobiCart is a startup that is taking m-commerce to a new level of personalization by enabling anyone to quickly deploy a native storefront application on iOS and Android devices as well as HTML5. MobiCart combines a customized application development platform with an online ecosystem for sharing extensions.

To get started, please follow the instructions below:

1) Sign up to a MobiCart account.

2) Go to the MobiCart site -> Add-ons -> and select the VirtueMart connector.

3) Click on 'Install Add-on'.

4) Enter your name, email address and password and click on 'Register now!'

5) Now click on 'Start Migration Now!'

6) Select VirtueMart as your 'Source Cart Type' and enter your store URL.

7) Select MobiCart as your 'Target Cart Type' and enter http://www.mobi-cart.com/ as your 'Target Cart URL'

8 ) Enter your MobiCart store email address and MobiCart API key which can be found by going to the MobiCart admin -> My account -> API

9) Now select the data you want to migrate, perform a test migration and the confirm your migration.

Import products
Import product images
Import product options
Import product categories
Import orders
Import order statuses
Import order products
Delete current data from target store before the migration
Strip HTML from category and product names

Import all above data via live sync (and not just daily/weekly/monthly)
Push order and stock information back to your shopping cart
Sync customer logins and reviews with your shopping cart

Hi,

The difference MobiCart supports both native and web apps. JTouch just supports the web.

Hi Everyone,

We've developed a new mobile commerce extension for MobiCart. The new extension will now import your products into MobiCart and also push back orders from MobiCart to VirtueMart.
