I was hoping someone could clarify something for me. If I creat a product and then create a child within that product, does this mean that I am giving customers the choice of choosing different sizes of the main item?

If not how would I do that?

There is another way of doing this.
in the admin panel go to products->custom fields. Create a new custom field and choose:
- custom field type: cart variant
- Title: Whatever you want
- Change the radio button "cart variant?" to yes
- Add a tool tip if needed
- Leave the rest at default if you want a drop down. It you want a list choose "yes" for list.

Save and close.

Now open the product you want to add sizes to and open the custom fields tab.

- click on "custom field type" and choose as many of the custom fields you have just creates as you need.

Now for each filed add a name and a price (will be added to your product price).

Save and close.

Test on your product details page.

Hope this was useful :)

Have I understood the tooltip? What is the value field for?

How do I go about making sure I have 2 drop down menus?

1 for size

1 for colour
