Virtual Mart 2.0 and Joomla 1.73 cant upgrade but need category based discount

I was wondering if you can do discount based on the category in virtual mart 2.00 and before someone in this form says to upgrade we cant its a very popular site in northern Ireland on tents and has allot of heavy customisation down.

What we need to achieve is a 10% discount.
