VM2 duplicated item search results if multi category

Hi,

I am getting duplicate search results due to items being in more than one category.

I've tried it with the virtuemart search and the extended search (to enable images in live search).

As I have absolutely no idea with PHP atm could someone be so kind as to suggest what adaption I could use of the solutions posted in the VM1.1 section of the forum for the VM2 search plugins as they are slightly different.see link).

Can you test (on a backup) using VM2.0.9b as some changes have been made to search. http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=106481.0

No luck although I bet I'm doing something wrong

Standard search still has problem finding any result if I have entered the shop catalog menu  (working fine when on any non-catalog page).

Ajax live search using VM product search still duplicating results for multi-category items.

EDIT: I was enquiring with Ernest at offlajn.com with a support ticket as I had purchased their ajax live search, and upon giving him a temp account, it was fixed overnight!
         
          I think it picks the first instance of the item in one category, so photo thumbnails show up on all ajax live searches.
         
         Can't speak highly enough of their support as this wasn't really to do with their ajax plugin more the extended search.
