Can anybody comment here his personal experience with this extension? I would love to hear some (hopefully positive) feedback from any customers.

I am not getting any response on website support when asking about product details. The product appears attractive but I get a strange feeling when reading all the "small print" on website, such as if you do not purchase developer version, no updates at all will be included and user will NOT have the option to increment to get dev version after purchase and things like that...

Just my 5 cents worth and nothing more than a strange feeling in the gut. In fact I already had the product in the cart but hmm, the wonderful product description was not able to overweight the feelings that some frustrating experience with customers happened somewhere in the past of this company and I will have to suffer for it. Please, just convince me I am wrong and this is not the case and I will be more than willing to spend my money on this promising extension.

Yes, that is correct. If you don't buy the template with "developer license" you will not be eligible to get free updates. As you might know, once a new Virtuemart version is released (which happens very often these days), lots of things are changed, especially in "shopping cart" page. If we didn't touch the shopping cart page, then we would say "you will get updates for lifetime". But it would be tricky because; an update won't be necessary at all (unless there is a bug reported in other sections). 

The updates are not all about "making VM Templates compatible to new version of Virtuemart". That's not the only case. We are also putting more features and functionalists to our VM Template from time to time (usually once a month a new thing is being implemented). For example; last month 1-page checkout page was integrated to our both VM Templates, which is worth to be sold separately as an extension/plugin for almost half of Template's price. Since we have only two VM2 Templates so far and we are planing to develop NO more in the near feature, we are trying to make them as perfect as they could be.

If you have any difficulties or your find out a bug somewhere (it doesn't matter you have bought the VM Template with Developer license or not) that bug or the problem will be solved by us for free. (our DEMO is taken as reference). If that bug is a known issue and has been fixed already in the new Template version, then you will get the same patch to fix your issue. Understand? Restricted update is the case for only "getting new features" and "compatibility with new VM versions situations".

Think about these 2 possibilities;

• If you are a developer, and you are planing to use our VM Templates in multiple websites you are going to design... the price is fair enough. No doubt about it!.
• If you are an individual who are opening a Virtuemart store for the first and the last time. After your web store is ready to go; why would you update your Virtuemart in the future? You know what they say: "if it is not broken, don't fix it". So you won't need an update for our VM Template as well.

Thats exactly why I have a bad feeling. I DO expect to get updates for free along the Virtuemart updates at this price tag. I see you changed the policy of "no upgrade allowed" but still, a price tag of 138 USD would be by far the most expensive addon ever for VM and - although I see there are some interesting features included - I personally do not feel the owerwhelming feeling that I am getting a killer app without I can live. Was hoping to get a lot of feedback from satisfied customers here but until now I did not see any feedback at all beside the owner and the price/return balance does not convince me.

i don't know what you are trying to do. You are a customer/buyer and you have the right to choose.
This is what we have, and this is our price. If you don't like, or doesn't fit your budget. Don't buy it. Period.

Sorry for the late reply, if you have asked your pre-sale question through http://www.flexiblewebdesign.com/support you would have received much faster reply.

Does that component requires any kind of Custom PHP coding in some core files? IF so, it might break the harmony, If it is just a plugin that is mounted to VM as a payment method, then it should work out. BUT something goes wong, i can guarantee you, you will get free support from us. Giving you support for this kind of situation would be useful for us too though, so we can advertise our VM Template as "UPS payment plugin ready".

Does this template play well with the UPS real time quoting component?

We purchased the template and got it working on VM 2.0.10 on Joomla 2.5.6.
The few problems we encountered with the UPS real time quoting system were created by VM's need to have one and only one shipping and payment method at the checkout moment.  That was not the template's fault.

Flexible Web Design's product looks good and added depth of interactive ability to our site that the VM default template can't handle.
You can switch back and for for testing purposes and they are responsive on their forum.

I recommend you purchase the product.
