http://www.blackbarrel.co.nz/ - Nice simple legacy system...

I've got the "Shopping Cart" module in the right hand column.  I'm sure I just created a new 'module' in the correct position.

I'm sure this is a really dumb question, but with version 2.0.2 I can't find where the 'modules' are to put stuff like 'my cart' and 'specials', 'new products', etc in the columns.

Can anyone point me to instructions.

I tried looking at the download page for more bits that I should have installed but couldn't see anything.  Back when I started with VM, you used to have to install modules for all these features, but I see things have moved on! :)

I know should have updated to version 2.0.6 before asking, but I'm also in the list of people who can't get the update feature to work and I don't know how to do it manually.

TIA

Don Gould NZ,

Hi Don , Modules first - iN administrator>> joomla>>Extensions>>modules>>is where everything you mentioned is>> they are some of the last modules and you can pick where and what column you wish them to be displayed in.
New version 2 allows an easy way to put modules in the right position.
Also you can try a new extension:

bit fancier and will add that extra bit to your site -

From the download page _ you download the version you want - unzip it on your compouter and you should see two files -
* you open your site at the back and go to Extensions>> and upload one at a time - there is nothing more to do - you must upload both files.( if no luck try my suggestion below.)
As to uploading manually try my suggestion in this forum link.

* infact we are testing version 2.0.7 if you would like to try - lots of excellent features and new - but?? It is a test version.
se how you go -

Hi John,

Thanks for your response.

The answer was that I hadn't installed the extension module... opps!

I installed 2.0.6 over the top of 2.0.2 and other than some bug about a safe folder, it seems to have worked.

Then I installed the extension tar and the modules were then where I expected to find them thanks! :)
