Product containing dot search

Hi,

i have virtuemart 2.02 and when i have product containing a dot. When i search for a product on the product number there are no results. How can i fix this?

I have this problem too.

VM 2.0.18a (enthusiast )

I fixed this in the past, but the updates overwrote the fix and I can't find my notes about it.
Having this problem both in the backend and in the frontend.

Maybe the team could insert a configuration option about this.
