Hello, here's a sample of a similar result I want for my website: http://www.blackopalbeauty.com/makeup/face/foundations/true-color-stick-foundation-spf8
I want to get a beauty online store done, and I like how this site allows for each product shade to be viewed with out too much fuss. Once each shade's thumbnail is clicked on, the drop down menu also switches to the active shade.
Each shade is shown as either available or out of stock according to shade clicked on. I gave up on stockable variant, now I use generic child variant.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi,
sorry for my bad English

I have a problem:
I set the custom fields and everything works though, as you can see

https://www.aliotru.com/hp/index.php/it-IT/utensili/compasso-a-punte-fisse-detail

in the dropdown menu I don't want to display the price.
How can I do to eliminate it?

I forgot:

I haven't used PlugIn but Variant Cart.
All works but I do not want to see the price difference from the menu.
PlugIn gives me problems: I do not return the exact amount.

Hi all

testing out VM and wondering with the custom fields

is here anyway to get the fields multilingual?

On the other hand I might be stupid as usual and have missed something.

In all it seams to work ok but the field are only in one language in the drop down.

If you enter the values as the Joomla translation constants, then they should be translated.

Hi,

I have finally after 2 days got the attributes working! However, I have a question.
We have something like 10 colours, and 4 sizes for over 30 products. Do I really have to go through and match up every colour with every size on EVERY product??

I use VM1 and Zen Cart and it is not this difficult to add multiple attributes to multiple products in the previous version or in the other package...?

At this stage all I really need is every product to  be assigned the same attributes, sizes and colours, stock control is desirable but not absolutely necessary.

Thank you in advance

How did you do it in VM1?

Hi Open Global,

I use VM attribute manager. Worked fine.

As this site needs to be up soon (within a week) I have opted for using ZenCart this time. It does not mean Ii have given up on VM just need to get the attributes sorted before it goes into a live site.

THanks

Kaety

I too am having problems with child products.

http://farlixx.co.uk/latest/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=225&virtuemart_category_id=0
This is the main product,

with the child products

http://farlixx.co.uk/latest/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=226&virtuemart_category_id=0
http://farlixx.co.uk/latest/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=227&virtuemart_category_id=0
http://farlixx.co.uk/latest/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=228&virtuemart_category_id=0

However on the parent product or a child product if a variant is selected. Only the product displayed is added and not what was selected in the drop down.
e.g. if on the main jumper page a green jumper in a small size is selected. Instead of that being added to the cart Main Jumper is added instead.

If someone could help that would be great.

It seems to work fine for me. Are you still seeing the problem?

I am facing the following problem.
Stockable Variants allows to add to cart a child product which is out of stock. After investigating i realize that add to cart checks the stock level of the parent product in order to allow the customer to add to cart a child product instead of the child's product stock level.

Any help?

Hi,

When a user select an option from the size drop down list, he got a product price modification correctly. But sometimes, when the user enter to the detail product page, it display the price from the last option of size list.

Try to enter this to this URL and refresh it with F5, at least 5 times.

Hi,
first thank you for your documentation, after a few tries, I see the different areas called "Size", "Form" and "Typ"  Unfortunatelly the drop-down menu missed the content. For example "Size" has three values "630 mm", "900 mm" and "1260 mm" but we only see "630 mm". Need help...
Thanks

(using Joomla 2.5, Virtuemart 2)

Solved the problem. We did not have enough child products.
