Administrative panel separately from joomla

Hi everybody!

I need to provide access to virtuemart back end for sales, but they don't have to have access to joomla admin panel.
I remember in early 1.0.15 version of virtuemart you could log in from front end as admin and there was a link that opened virtuemart admin panel separately from joomla.
I wondering if there is a way to do this on current version?
