Order more products than in stock ?

Suppose i have in stock a product A of 1 item and a customer add this product A to his cart and order 3 of this product A.
Is this possible or does he get a message ? Or do i get a message ? Is there any stock controll.

I just made a test and no there is no control!
Unless I missed something this issue is critical!

Even if you have just 1 in stock for product A you can order 8 products and pay for 8 which is really a critical issue.
Which is weird though is that the shipping cost is not updated and only reflects one product ...

Any input on that from VM2 team ?

Forget about this comment, my mistake. The quantity prob still holds though ... I don't want people to be able to order more than what's available.

Ok I'm really tired ... I've been working for months on VM2 now and I just notice that there is a "Maximum Purchase Quantity" setting in the product tab ...

Sorry for having doubted that VM2 was missing such an essential feature .
