Fix no account creation

I am having the same problem as this post - http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=31543.0.

I don't want to upgrade to the complete 1.1beta2 because of all the changes we have made so far, but I noticed that the bug (task#1415) was fixed on Oct 24, 2007. 

Is there any way to find out what this fix involved?

If you are going to use VirtueMart 1.1 at some point you will have to update, because language files are changed, functions are changed and more changes are under way, VM 1.1 is under development and is not meant for production use, next beta will have even more changes.

I am having the issue with "No Account Creation" where I put my details in and click continue and it jsut keeps bringing this page up over and over with no error message?

VirtueMart Version:
v1.1 RC1 build 1297

Joomla/Mambo Version:
v1.5

I worked out that thsi was happening when the email address i was using was already against a user in the backend.
But
a) user shouldn't be being saved if I have "No Account Creation" should they? And if they are simply for a virtuemart side then if a user comes back to the site to purchase again they should be able to add this info again becuase to them they shuoldn't have an account
b) No error came up saying that this email address had already been used, it just kept showing the page over and over

Okay, so what's the fix.  It's obvious that "No Account Creation" setting is being ignored and user accounts are being created in Joomla.  I love the product otherwise accept for this one thing.  I merely want user information passed to PayPal, not stored in Joomla.
