First I wish to thank all of you who contributes to this excellent component.

What I would like to see was a little more structure on the mod/extension part.

I was thinking something like Joomla! Extension (http://extensions.joomla.org/) or even osC(http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions)

The Virtuemart project would attract more users, thus leading to more addons/mods/extensions. Its also a possibillity to raise some money to the project, selling ads and commercial extensions (If thats interesting)
But last, but not least, it would make it easier to find.

I know that one of the first things I'm looking for, when I'm lookin into a new software, is the activity on the plugin archive and forum part of a project. The Virtuemart forum works excellent, and so is the project itself.

I'm sure this is something some of the veterans here at VM, who maybe lacks the php skills to contribute to the actual progam, would've been happy to administered. I could also contribute here, but I feel that there are a lot more experienced users around here more capable.

A penny for your thoughts?

Totally agree that extensions/hacks would be great to have separated. We almost didn't move to VM as we thought there weer only 10 (what we saw in the downloads section at the time). We did finally see the magic in the forum though and were sold on VM. I'm sure it's a matter of time more than anything...
