Custom fields multiple groups fields vanished when product is saved

Hi there,

I have created several custom fields. Each custom field is assigned to one of two groups (for easier assignment to the product).

Now I create a new product and load both field groups which loads all fields into the product. But when I save the product, the fields of one group are deleted from the product.

Any idea what I can do about this? Can a product only include one field group?

Testet on Virtuemat 4.4.4 with Joomla 5.2.3

I found out that when I first load the first group, fill out all its fields, save the product and then load the second group and fill out all its values, then all fields remain in the product.

But that doesn't make any sense to me at all...
