Which Safe Path should I define?

I'm new to VirtueMart, sorry for the possibly silly questions.

I have to create the Safe Path.
So, I created it at the external root of the website.

Do I also have to create the one with the "password"?
The first impression is that it is an alternative to the previous one, but I ask for confirmation.

You just need the first one as long as it is writable by VM. I have no idea what you mean by the one with the "password".

It appeared at the top of the configuration panel on first access to the panel.
The "password" (it was called that way in the message) was a long hexadecimal string before the service folders.
It was probably an alternative if the path was not possible to create it outside of Virtuemart.
