Coupon for category including sub-category

Hello friends.

I am trying to limit a permant coupon to some product categories.
Does selecting a category include all sub-categories?
For example, when I have categories like
/pc/amd
/pc/arm
/pc/intel
/pc/intel/386
/pc/intel/486
/pc/intel/celeron
/harddisks
/otherstuff

Does "Allowed Product Categories" = /pc
include /pc/amd and /pc/arm etc.?
The product is only in the bottom category like /pc/intel/386 but not in all parent categories /pc and /pc/intel

Update
After some additional testing: it looks like the product needs to be in the exact category as set in the coupon.
Any change we can get a "include sub-categories" option here?
