Yes, you have to add relevant code from google tag manager developers site.

We use standard ecommerce tracking - Google Tag Manager for VirtueMart

In this time we change to enhanced ecommerce tracking (with "Add to Cart" tracking too) - maybe next months we will be finished.

If we sell extensions for tracking, why would I send you some codes that are not ultimately related to any PHP file from VirtueMart?

Either follow the instructions from the developpers google or wait for someone to write the code here.

There are many measuring plugins, it is not necessary to use ours.

yesterday we add beta version to testing for one of our client...

I think next week I will create stable version.
