Paypal sends multiple notification emails after successful payment

Hi please help
I use default VM Paypal plugin at VM 3.4.2 with regular Paypal account (not API) and when the payment is successfully completed, VM keeps sending emails to both vendor and shopper. The order status is changed right  for the order.

I checked the IPN report on Paypal and it shows this:

But I don't know how to find out what caused the 500 error.

Does anyone have experience with this, please?

the notification url gives

Call to a member function gatewayReceiveNotification() on null

can't find that function in any VM files .. 3rd party plugin?

Stano found out it was caused by a execution time limit on webhosting :/ and they are not willing to raise it. So we'll need to either change it or comment out thiis line>
