Can't seem to get "Latest Products" module to work

I create a Latest Products module and the module displays but doesn't have any product showing.   I've made sure that the status shows stock available and the active date is correct.  What could be going wrong???

See in the Virtuemart config > Shopfront Tab
Go down to "Product Listing"
And change :
Latest Products - Number of days to display
(default is 7 days only)
