Products are not displaying

I have products created and published with a large amount of inventory "in stock". I have a menu item set for Category Layout because the homepage option says deprecated, and to use the category layout. None of the products are showing. Only the category names are showing.

I set the memory_limit to -1 as another post suggested, but that didn't work either.

On the first details tab set Select a Manufacturer back to Please Select  - unless all your products are in a category named default.
