How to make joomla menu with VM2 categories?

How can a user make a menu in the Joomla menu system for all the VM2 categories? I'm unable to find a menu link type which will enable me to paste each cat/sub-cat link in the menu generator. If I select the option for "category view" the system enters a generic URL but I can't modify it to point to a specific category...

I need to do this specifically for my foreign languages (ie not the default English).

Sounds like you are using a Joomla extension which generates menus instead of creating them manually. In this case you should ask the extension developer if it supports VM. If I remember correctly, NoNumber offers an extension supports faster creation of VM menus.
