Remove/hide products under the list of categories?!

I am trying to remove or hide the list of products in the categories.
I thought it was an easy way to do this in control panel or in the store backside of VM.

This don't work for me.
If I set "Show products" to "No" disappears in the Categories view, but the products disappears also in the Category view.
