Add To Cart Function Not Working

I installed and configured VirtueMart 3.0.9. I placed a single item on a menu and it displays fine, except the Add To Cart Button does have some type of symbol over it which I cannot quite make out. I suspect this indicates some type of issue. When the user clicks Add To Cart, it displays the word Cart on a blank page with a link to Continue Shopping.

Looks like you have a template issue. URL?

the symbol is just a non standard shopping basket icon
therefore this isn't a std. template so you have to assume it isn't VM3 compatible...
