How to make customfields searchable?

Hi, I'm using VM 2.6.6, and created a customfield which displays key words per product in Hebrew, to help non-English users locate items. Unfortunately I see that the VM store search doesn't check customfields.

Can anyone help me tweak the relevant search box coding so it also checks customfields?
