Ordering by category

Is it possible to amend the Default category sort order for all the subcategories of single specified category? We have most categories ordered using 'ordering' and one we'd like ordered alphabetically. We already apply a different template to it.

I've already considered faking it by applying ordering manually to order them alphabetically (a=1, b=2 etc), but this category could update quite frequently. We're using CSVi to import our data into the site and it would be counterproductive to have to log in everyday to make amendments.
