how to add shipping cost to checkout stage?

Hi, how can I display the [additional] cost of a selected shipping method on the cart.html page in VM 2.6.6? There is no option to add an associated price (cost) to the shipping method when we configure them...

bump. Does this require a custom field? or is there some other solution?
