First issue is an odd text tag as show in the image below (VMSHIPMENT_WEIGHT_COUNTRIES_SHIP_TO):

Second I have added a few shipping options, and gave them order numbers, it appears no matter what I do only shipping option 2 is showing here by default.

Third in the shopping cart as pictured below you can see it properly calculates the total, but there is no single unit line price showing:

Thank you in advance for whomever helps!

EDIT: Version is VM 3

Another question about pricing and discounts, what I would like to do is something like 1 for 12.95, 2 for 23.95, 3 for 32.95,  now at first I achieved this by adding 3 different prices and just setting quantities, which works however no discount field is calculated as should be, so I googled and found that you can add rules in the taxes and calculations, however I cannot figure out a way to tell it to only apply based on quantity, it seems to be locked to groups, or locations, or categories.  So what is the proper way to do what I am trying to do?

MatCat

Turning into quite a headache... I tried to delete all of my prices, but they do not delete, when I hit save they all come back + any new ones I created... I noticed My version is 3.0.0 and some people seem to be using 3.0.2... Ok I think I see, it seems the live install from within joomla is set to an old version, I am going to upload the newer version and see if this bug is fixed.  Would be a good idea for whomever manages these things to make sure the extension directory info is all up to date so headaches like mine can be avoided, I will look for an appropriate place to post that :).

MatCat

Ok no, updating to 3.0.2 does not fix the issue...  I don't understand this seems like a rather obvious bug to let slip by...  doesn't make much sense to me.

So I manually deleted the extra prices, and figured out that for my pricing scheme to work I had to have 3 prices, 2 with a modifier rule, now this works to properly calculate discounts, however the discount field is left blank except at the very bottom near the total, I.E. no line item discount info, plus still no single unit price shown under that field either.

MatCat

I also managed to get the prices to display properly by configuring various checkboxes for the prices in config, which is horrible in a lot of ways... If you want to see say the crossed out original base price on the cart, you also get stuck with seeing the base price on the product page even if you do not want it there, I kind of hacked it out by using CSS to hide the span.  Still really need help with figuring out why it says that text tag as shown in the OP first picture?

MatCat

Man for something that has been around for so long it has a lot of bugs...  I have discovered that when you are in checkout the shipping options are listed properly as you would expect, however the product details page ALWAYS defaults to showing the highest valued order from the shipping list!!!

MatCat

Well at this point I have figured it all out myself, not a very active forum base of users here I guess, pretty amazing considering how many views it got that no one replies, but then again maybe it's just bot hits.

1.  VMSHIPMENT_WEIGHT_COUNTRIES_SHIP_TO  shows that there is line missing from one of your VM language files, maybe an installation issue with the aio component? Anyway, just add an override for that constant. The original line would be VMSHIPMENT_WEIGHT_COUNTRIES_SHIP_TO="We ship to"

2. Sounds like you need quantity pricing rather than discount. 1 product 12.95ea, 2 products 11.975ea, 3 products 10.983ea  - easy to do, eg see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=126722.msg434276#msg434276

3. We don't support Joomla's install from web function, which as you have found out does not work properly yet, not helped by them making big changes to the JED at the moment. Install properly using the "normal" extensions installer. Files are on http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files

4. Without seeing the live site it is not possible to comment on pricing display, but several people have had problems because they have been using commercial templates with out of date template overrides for VM.

Quotenot a very active forum base of users here

Most likely because most of us are in a different time zone to you, and as it is the weekend we are off doing other things!  See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=79799.0
