Product variants with stock control

Hi,

I am trying to setup variant products to my shop. VM 2.6.6 and J2.5.24

What I am trying to reach is that a product variant can not be choosen when the stock for the product is either 0 the product is sold out.

At the moment you can choose the variant and it will redirect you to 404 with the info the product would not exist.

How can this be solved?

How do you have the "Action when a Product is Out of Stock" settings set? 
Which is within VM Config  Shopfront tab on the right side.

Hi,

at the moment I have "Don't show products when product variants are also not available"

This helps that I don't show a 404 site. But still it is possible to choose the product which is sold out from product variants.

When you add it to the cart it will show the product is not available. But how to not display it at all in product variants when not available?
