organise products by usage

 Hi

I'm putting together a new Joomla website with Virtuemart ~ http://198.20.114.18/~kayopt25/

Currently the products are organised into categories & manufacturers i would like to be able to extend this to organise by usage, for example  Angling, Astronomical, Aviation etc

Can you recommend an approach with VM so that i can organise them by usage, each product may have more than one usage.

Just a simple way would be to add those options as new categories. Then add the products to several categories.
Your customers could search for categories that they are familiar with.

I'm not sure from your post but , you could have manufacturers categories as well. Maybe you have already done this?
