stockable variant and children products' images

Hi guys!
I need the 'size & color' selector with stock control, but I need to change the child product images when an user selects a different color.
no way with base plugin, I know because I read many posts
So, what if I add all images to father products and if I use jQuery to select the proper images series? It sounded good, but I have a question: looking at 'stockable plugin' code (v 2.0.26d), at line 337

does someone know the reason why events are stripped away?
