I've set up a parent product with three child products for administering stock control. Want I want to achieve is when a user selects a child product that is out of the stock they are given the 'notify me' option but when the child product is in stock they can simply add it to the cart. With that in mind if you go to this page - http://simplysleepwear.com.au/new-site/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=272&virtuemart_category_id=7&Itemid=73 – there is a major issue whereby if you select the child product  that has stock (medium) and click the add to cart option you'll notice the cart functionality is no longer working. On a positive the notify section/functionality works fine.

Sorry forgot to mention Joomla! 2.5.14 & Virtuemart 2.0.24

Hello, you should make sure that you have no javascript issues on your site before using the ajax stuff of the cart functions, pls get rid of this issue first:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'set' of null
http://simplysleepwear.com.au/new-site/templates/beez_20/javascript/md_stylechanger.js (line 66)

It might have blocked the javascript needed by the cart functions.

Best Regards,
Stan

Thanks for the heads up Stan but do you (or anyone else) know how I could fix this?

Arrgghh! Installed JQuery Easy but problem still on going. I put a post on their forum and they gave me the following answer:

Hello,
there is a file that has a 404 error:
forum.virtuemart.net/Themes/nadel-1/scripts/theme.js?rc5
but this cannot be fixed with the jQuery Easy plugin.
There is actually no jQuery in that page at all.
The plugin is not going to fix anything for you here, there are no conflicts or anything related to jQuery as far as I can tell.

Anyone any ideas where I can go next?

Sorry my fault I should have checked that, no the URL provided is not working. Since posting though I have now removed the conflicting javascript from the template but add to cart/notify me functionality is still not working - http://simplysleepwear.com.au/new-site/ . Any more advice/pointers/help would be mightily appreciated.
