Assign different shipping methods to different products?

Client is a reseller and deals with 4 different suppliers which handle all her shipping from they own outlets. Because there shipping methods range from Flat rate to Canada Post we had to purchase two different modules cpsolvm2 & VM shipping. 

We are still in the build stage but both seem to meet her requirements, the problem we are having is at the checkout.   She doesn't want to give the purchaser any shipping options if the product is shipping using flat rate that what they see and visa versa for Canada post.

We have gone threw VirtueMart 2 Manual & the forum and can't find anywhere if it's possible to assign a group of items to one module and not show the other on check out.

Anyone else having the same issue?
