I am using VM 2.0.20b. I tried to upgrade to 2.0.22a, but this failed. Now if I go to the details of a product the "add to cart" button is shown, which was not before and I want to get rid of the text.
How can I change my settings to avoid this situation.
Thanks,

Did you use template overrides?

What method of upgrade did you use?

Hi Maxim,

First upgrade was the automatic Joomla method, which failed with the message: Invalid Token in store config.
The I downloaded the VM 2.0.22a file, unzipped it and tried to install the first part, which failed.
After your question I tried to update via the indicated URL. This turned out OK, be it that I was informed that I still had to update the ext_aio.zip part. Doing so I again received the error message that the upload of the file to the server failed. But I assume that the system is now on VM 2.0.22a as is indicated.
This however did not have any effect tot the mentioned problem of the "add to cart" button in the detailed product description, still being present.
As far as the question of the overrides is concerned, the follwing. I use Allrounder-j.1.6 as template and on the template tab I have the following settings:
- Category template: Joomla default
- Categoy lau-out: default
- Product lay-out: default
- Lay-out for home page: No override
I hope this helps in finding a solution of getting rid of this unwanted button, which I never had before.

Thank,

Just selecting "Use only as catalogue" in Configuration/Shop turns off the add to cart button for me.

Are you displaing any prices? If not how have you stopped them from displaying? By the use of template overrides?

Hi,

That was the original setting, before the failed update and I had overlooked this parameter while searching for a solution. Thanks a lot for your suggestion, it saved me a lot of hazzle.
By the way, as indicated I did the update finally via the URL. Now do I still have to update the ext_aio.zip part?

Kind regards,

You could update AIO with the url.

Also template overrides (info about them is in sticked threads of Template forum section or in the VM tutorials) is stuff in 'templates/allrounder-j.1.6/html/com_virtuemart' folder.
