Multivendor: wich is the state of art?

Good evening,
I write to you because I need to know wich is the state of art of the multivendor implementation.
I see Milbo's post (http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=107588.0) but it was written one year ago so... can you give me some updates?
I have the 2.0.22a virtuemart installation over Joomla 2.5.11. What I need is to have a different invoice/VAT ID for a product that I sell on my ecommerce because this product is sold from another vendor and I can't make the invoice with my company's informations. Con you suggest me some solutions if the last version of Virtuemart not permits this configuration?
