Avalara Not Returning Tax

Hello,

I have the Avalara tax plugin set up on my Virtuemart installation 2.0.20b with Joomla 2.5.9.  It is not pulling in the tax from them.  It just has a blank space where the calculated tax should go.  Their support says it is correctly hooked up and sees it connect when the settings are entered.  Has anyone run into this before?
