Create a list of products

Hi. I have found list view items through search, but they are not basic enough. Under certain categories on my site, there can be hundreds of items. I am after something very basic. I am looking for a list format like this as an override.

(tiny picture, not needed but would be nice) Product name - Product availability - click for detail - Price - add to cart

you can make a override for category view or a alternate layout for category view and choose this in the category configuration

Oh, I intend to. In fact I have made an override for one category already that points to a diff module for building custom PC's, but I don't have enough understanding of css to be able to create the list. That is why I was asking for help.
