Help needed with shopping cart

Hello,

I am using Joomla 2.5, virtuemart 2.018 and the problem I am having is the fact I do not see a shopping cart on my home page.

Now, in menu settings, my home page is not linked to virtuemart, but to featured articles. If I link my home page to products in virtuemart, then nothing new happend on my front page.

However, I would like to have a shopping cart logo on the right corner of all my pages. Any ideas how to manage that? Your help is much appreciated.

Publish the VM Cart module?

have you assigned the Virtuemart Frontpage to your "Home" menu?

I did that, the vm cart module is published, and the home page is assigned to virtuemart front page. I am using youjoomla template, but cant figure out why the cart icon does not appear on the pages. It is set to appear on all pages.

try with a standard templete (Beez etc - ) what happens ?

and what do you mean by cart icon? A picture is worth a 1000 words..

post your home menu config .. etc etc .. this is all very basic stuff... no one will help unless you do the digging first....

I have tried changing the template, but the current template will still remain the same, eventhough I chose Beez to be the default template. Sorry I am quite new to Joomla, and certain things I have to learn first.

Sorry - you have to go away and learn how to do basic Joomla things like change your template - this is a Virtuemart forum....

zarba you really need an understanding of Joomla menus and template assignment before adding in the complication of a shopping cart, There is good documentation available, eg http://docs.joomla.org/The_mechanics_of_creating_a_Joomla!_1.6_web_site

And yes, I know you are not using 1.6 but the docs titles have not been updated for 2,5.
