500 Error on clicking the forgot username or forgot password links!

Hi everyone! I've got a majorly annoying problem. Everything else is working FINE right now with my site, I can create an account, the confirmation emails are sent out etc. Products are adding to cart fine, shipping, payment everything is FINE.

However, if someone clicks on the Forgot your username or Forgot your password links under the login boxes, everything goes to hell, and I either get a blank page (locally) or a 500 error (online)

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://myurl.com/index.php?option=com_users&view=reset. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

I've looked all over the net for a solution for this, and have checked file permissions etc to no avail...

If someone could PLEASE help me, it would be most appreciated. I can give you all the login details you need to check out the current configuration.

If a solution has been posted somewhere already I apologise, Google has been mean to me before.

The error is coming from Joomla, not VirtueMart. Is SEF turned on?
