Blurry thumbnail = sharp after replace thumbnail. Why??

Hi, when I upload an image the thumbnail becomes blurry. However I just noticed that if I after upload go and upload the image again and hit replace thumbnail, then the image becomes sharp and just the way it should be!? Why is it like this? Why isn't the image sharp after the first upload? The size is the same on both occasions.

First, I agree the thumbnails are too blurry.
I tried the procedure you describe and the thumbnail got sharper. But this was due to that the image for the thumbnail was fullsize, only scaled down. Got an error message "Failed deleting resized".
Sure this is not what you are seeing?
