Payment-related question.

I'd like to use VirtueMart for my new webstore. I will not be taking credit card payments. I'd like customers to make their purchases and then have an invoice displayed and emailed to them so that they can print it out and mail it back to me along with a check or money order. I'm unable to tell from the documentation and forum posts whether this is supported within VirtueMart. Is anyone currently doing this? Is this something easily configured within VirtueMart?
