Change wording in english.php file, where is the file?

Hi anyone know where the english.php file is? Im trying to change some of the wording in virtuemart but cannot find the file.

I have checked languages and the only english file is called 'jquery.validationEngine-en.js'

I only wish to change the wording in checkout. Thanks

In Joomla 2.5.1 the VM language files are in joomla_root/language/en-GB/

Thanks a lot, found it easier to just edit the file than use overrides

Then your edit will be overwritten by the next upgrade. We use overrides to avoid having to re-edit templates/views and language files.
