Ajaxifying my module

Hello,
I'm upgrading my module free shipping info that shows the amount resting to get the free shipping to the 2.0.x version.

I'm wondering to ajaxify it like the cart module but I can't find how to do without changing some core Virtuemart lines and I don't would that of course.

Could someone help me with some idea to do that in the module whithout touching the core files?

the new minicart is a little different.

It used to refresh the whole div, but now the js in vmprices.js   just "injects" the data into the module.

I do not know how to help but I would look there first

I could inject that in my module but just for showing the cart price and nothing else
