Will Virtue Mart 2.0 be compatible with Joomla 2.5?

Does anyone know about compatibility with the upcoming release of Joomla 2.5 and VirtueMart 2.0?
Joomla 1.5 is at end of life this April 2012, so I was wondering if this great component will work on Joomla's newer platform?

It will be, but until the final release (now set for 24th) it cannot be fully tested. J2.5 Beta 2 is due for release today, and RC1 next week. A modified installer will be required for J2.5.

In any case it would not be wise to update a working store to 2.5 until any security problems have been shaken out.

Yes, it looks like a simple one click "upgrade" from J1.7.3 to J2.5 - and VM2 already running on 1.7.3 should still function on 2.5. Remember that this has not been tested, and in any case I would wait to see if any important issues with J2.5 itself appear after adoption by the masses of early updaters.
