displaying stock levels with text not image

Hi,

can the inventory level display be changed to a text result, I'm getting a lot of feedback that this is not helpfull, I want to know how much is available, as it stands you don't know and it is frustrating.

Bug:
if you have qty 10, and enter 50, popup displays says no stock but message says "50 Hand Shovel was added to your cart", and the continue shopping button link does not "continue shopping", it just sits there.
